Maintenance
& support.
Keep what you already have secure, updated and working. Monthly retainers from ₹8,000, annual maintenance at 15–20% of project cost, with the included hours written down.
Maintenance is optional and there is no lock-in. Hosting, domain and third-party subscription charges are billed by those providers and are not included in the plan fee.
01 / Who this is for
For anyone who already has a website or app live.
A website is not a one-time purchase. Software libraries get security updates, browsers change, plugins break, certificates expire and hosting accounts need attention. Maintenance is the arrangement that keeps a live product working after launch.
This page is for businesses that already have something live — whether Netqorix built it or not — and want a defined, priced arrangement instead of calling someone every time something breaks.
02 / Problems this can address
What usually goes wrong without maintenance.
- Nobody can update the content. A price, phone number or service list is wrong and there is no one to change it.
- Security patches are never applied. Out-of-date software is the most common way small business sites get defaced or hijacked.
- The SSL certificate expires. Visitors get a browser security warning and leave.
- No one notices it is down. The site is offline for two days before a customer mentions it.
- There is no backup. When something breaks, there is nothing to restore from.
- Small changes never get done. Each one is too small to raise a project for, so they pile up.
03 / Maintenance vs new features
The difference between keeping it working and building something new.
Maintenance is keeping what exists working
- Security patches and software updates.
- Fixing things that used to work and have stopped.
- Backups and restore checks.
- Uptime monitoring.
- SSL certificate renewals.
- Small content edits: text, prices, images, contact details.
New feature development is building something that did not exist
- A new booking system, calculator or customer portal.
- A redesign or a new page template.
- A payment gateway or third-party integration added for the first time.
- A new admin dashboard or reporting screen.
- Migrating to a different platform.
04 / Plans and rates
Annual maintenance, monthly retainers and hosting management.
Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)
Charged once a year as a percentage of what the project originally cost. If a project cost ₹1,00,000, an AMC at 15–20% is ₹15,000–₹20,000 for that year. It covers updates, bug fixes, security patches and uptime monitoring. It suits products that are stable and need protecting rather than changing.
Monthly retainers
Charged every month and measured in hours. Basic gives you up to 10 hours a month; Growth gives you up to 25 hours a month plus a priority queue. Retainers suit businesses that make regular changes — new pages, new offers, seasonal content, continuous small improvements.
Hosting management
Charged every month for administering the server itself: backups, scaling, SSL renewals and server-level security. This is the management fee only. What your cloud provider charges for the servers is separate and is billed on top. See cloud services and infrastructure.
| Service | Scope and included hours | Recurring rate |
|---|---|---|
| Annual Maintenance (AMC) | Software updates, bug fixes, security patches and 24x7 uptime monitoring. Calculated as a percentage of the initial project cost, per year. | 15 – 20% / yr |
| Retainer — Basic | Up to 10 hours per month of feature tweaks, content updates, developer support and minor enhancements. | ₹8,000 / mo |
| Retainer — Growth | Up to 25 hours per month, priority queue support, continuous feature development and performance optimisation. | ₹18,000 / mo |
| Hosting Management | Cloud server administration, automated database backups, auto-scaling management and SSL auto-renewals. Excludes the hosting provider’s own fees. | ₹3,000 – ₹6,000 / mo |
| Out-of-scope hourly rate | Ad-hoc requests and consulting outside an agreed retainer or AMC. | ₹800 – ₹1,500 / hr |
AMC is billed annually. Retainers and hosting management are billed monthly. The out-of-scope hourly rate applies only to work agreed outside your plan.
05 / How included hours work
What "up to 10 hours a month" actually means.
- Hours are counted against work actually carried out in that month, including investigation time, not just typing.
- Hours are per month. They are not a promise that ten hours of work will exist every month, and unused hours do not automatically carry forward unless your agreement says so.
- When a request would take you past the included hours, you are told before the work starts, not after. You then choose to wait for the next month, approve the extra time at the out-of-scope hourly rate, or scope it as a separate project.
- Requests are handled in the order received. The Growth retainer includes a priority queue, which means your requests are picked up ahead of Basic retainer requests.
- A monthly summary of what was done and how the hours were used is provided so you can see where the retainer went.
06 / What you get and what is excluded
Deliverables and exclusions, stated up front.
Included in a maintenance plan
- Security patching and dependency updates for the agreed software stack.
- Fixing defects in functionality that was working and has broken.
- Uptime monitoring, with AMC or hosting management.
- Automated backups and restore checks, with hosting management.
- SSL certificate renewal, with hosting management.
- Content and minor changes within your included hours.
- A monthly record of work carried out.
Not included unless quoted separately
- Hosting, domain, email and third-party subscription charges, which are billed by those providers.
- New features, redesigns and platform migrations, which are scoped as projects.
- Recovery of a site that was already compromised, corrupted or broken before the plan began.
- Work on code or platforms outside your agreed stack.
- Content writing, photography and design assets.
- SEO campaigns and content marketing. See SEO and local search.
- Guaranteed uptime figures. Monitoring tells you quickly when something is down; it does not make the hosting provider’s infrastructure immune to failure.
07 / What this looks like in practice
Two situations, described as hypotheticals.
These are illustrative scenarios written to show how the plans differ. They are not Netqorix client projects.
A dental clinic with a five-page website. The site rarely changes. Two or three small edits a year, plus keeping it patched and monitored. An AMC at 15–20% of the original project cost fits this better than a monthly retainer, because there is not ten hours of work every month to use.
A training institute running new batches every month. New course pages, updated schedules, fresh photos, a banner for each intake and occasional landing pages for ads. That is steady monthly work, so the Basic retainer at ₹8,000 / mo fits, moving to Growth if the monthly workload regularly exceeds ten hours.

Review
Sanjeev reviews the current state: what it runs on, how out of date it is, whether backups exist and what needs fixing before an ongoing plan makes sense.
Agree the plan
You get a written plan that states which plan applies, the included hours, what is in scope, what is excluded, how requests are raised and what happens when hours run out.
Access and setup
Monitoring, backups and access are set up. If the site needs remedial work before it can be safely maintained, that is quoted separately first rather than quietly absorbed.
Ongoing
You raise requests, work is done against your hours, and you receive a monthly record. Plans continue until either side ends them under the agreed terms.
09 / Costs that continue regardless
Third-party charges are separate from the maintenance fee.
A maintenance plan is Netqorix’s fee for the work. It does not include what other companies charge you. Budget separately for:
- Domain registration and renewal.
- Web hosting or cloud provider charges.
- Business email accounts.
- Paid plugins, themes, licences and APIs your site depends on.
- SMS, email delivery and notification services.
- Payment gateway transaction fees.
Where Netqorix manages the cloud account on your behalf, provider usage is billed at direct cost plus a management margin of 15–20%, as set out on the cloud services page. Where you hold the accounts yourself, you pay those providers directly and Netqorix bills only for the work.
Frequently asked questions
Maintenance and support questions.
Is maintenance compulsory after my project launches?
No. You own the approved source code and intellectual property after final settlement, and you can maintain the product yourself or with another provider. Maintenance is offered because live software needs upkeep, not because ownership depends on it.
What is the difference between AMC and a monthly retainer?
AMC is billed annually as 15–20% of the original project cost and is aimed at keeping a stable product secure, updated and monitored. A monthly retainer is billed every month and gives you a defined number of hours — up to 10 hours on Basic, up to 25 on Growth — for ongoing changes and small enhancements. Sites that change regularly usually need a retainer; sites that rarely change usually need AMC.
What happens if I use more than my included hours?
You are told before the work starts, not after. You can wait for the next month, approve the additional time at the out-of-scope hourly rate of ₹800 – ₹1,500 per hour, or have the work scoped as a separate project if it is large enough to deserve one.
Do unused hours roll over to the next month?
Not automatically. Included hours are a monthly allowance. If carry-forward matters to you, raise it during scoping so it can be written into your agreement rather than assumed.
Is hosting included in the maintenance fee?
No. Hosting management at ₹3,000 – ₹6,000 per month covers administering the server: backups, scaling, SSL renewals and server-level security. What the hosting or cloud provider charges for the infrastructure itself is billed separately.
Can you maintain a website that Netqorix did not build?
Usually yes, after a review of what it runs on and what condition it is in. If remedial work is needed before an ongoing plan makes sense — an outdated platform, no backups, an existing compromise — that is quoted separately first so you can see the real starting cost.
Does maintenance include adding new features?
Small changes that fit inside your included hours can be done. Anything that amounts to new functionality — a booking system, a portal, a redesign, a new integration — is scoped and quoted as a separate project and approved by you before it is built.
Can you guarantee my site will never go down?
No, and neither can anyone else. Monitoring means a failure is detected quickly and acted on, and backups mean it can be restored. No provider can make the underlying infrastructure immune to failure, and Netqorix does not publish an uptime guarantee it does not control.
